Charleston SC Market Report Quarter 1 2017
We’re proud to present our latest market report for January through March, 2017. The first quarter of the year, leading up to the busy spring selling season, saw over 3,800 sales of single family homes. The majority of areas in our report saw an increase in the number of sales as well as an increase in average price per square foot in Quarter 1 of 2017 from Quarter 1 of 2016. The highest sale this past Quarter was 69 Meeting Street, South of Broad, which traded for $5,350,000.
In agency news, Halsey Park, a new luxury development of town homes and single family homes overlooking the Charleston Harbor on the west side of the Peninsula, has officially closed the first five town homes and construction is well underway for the second five. These unique residences have sold for an average of $491 per square foot, well above the average $453 per square foot for all sales south of the Crosstown.
