If we see another old historical building that intrigues us we will give you a call to consult. “
When we decided to sell we learned that our floor plan only worked for a small segment of the market. Knowing Jennifer lived in Ion and was an expert on the neighborhood, we hired her to sell our home. She used artful and very effective staging to draw in a far broader "market" for our home. Jennifer has an eye for design and she knows what buyers are looking for. Although we were anxious about selling from out of town she handled every aspect of the process for us and closed a sensational sale, getting us top dollar!
As an expert in the market, she was a wealth of information and helped me consider factors with respect to my real estate purchase that I hadn’t previously considered. She responded quickly to every question posed, worked tirelessly to ensure closing went smoothly and on time, and her upbeat personality and positivity ensured that my home purchase was a pleasant and fun experience. I will definitely call upon Kim and for any local real estate needs I may have in the future.
Kim Crain handled the recent purchase of a home on the Charleston peninsula. We had very specific ideas of what we wanted and she hung in there with us until the right property was available. We have never had an agent that anticipated our needs and was more thorough. We highly recommend her!
We were convinced it was the right city but we were not very familiar with the real estate market. Anne Edson was assigned to help us with our search. As a lifetime local, Anne was very insightful and patient as we searched every area in the Charleston region. While some of the beach communities were very enticing, we became convinced that we would be much happier in the heart of the city. During our three day visit, we did not find a home that met our needs but Anne did find us a terrific downtown waterfront rental for the winter/spring of 2013. This would provide a great opportunity to learn more about Charleston and continue our search. We returned in February 2014 for our 3 month rental which further convinced us that this was the place to be and helped us understand why a more serious financial commitment was in our best interest. Anne continued to identify buying opportunities during our stay and was able to get us early access to a 15 year old house South of Broad which was constructed to fit the historical pattern on the community. We were sold immediately. Made an offer in a couple of days and closed in May 2014. It is two seasons later and we continue to be extremely happy with our purchase and the life it has provided us in the heart of beautiful Charleston. We look forward to the many more years to come. We also feel that our investment is very sound at a time when it is difficult to find good investments. We have also remained in close contact with Anne and her husband Fred who have helped to acclimate to the community in many ways. We would strongly recommend Anne as your realtor. She is enthusiastic, qualified, patient and a lot of fun to be around. We could not ask for anything more in a realtor.
She has represented us with both the selling and purchasing of properties with such successful outcomes that we will always request her as our agent for any future transactions. Not only is she one of the most influential negotiators who always has her clients' best interests as her priority, but she also has a gift of being able to establish great rapport with other representatives so that agreements can be reached with a reasonable outcome for all who are involved. Above all, she has a wonderfully fun and energetic personality that makes the time spent from start to finish of a real estate deal an enjoyable and rewarding life experience.
I am a commercial real estate broker, so I would characterize myself as a particularly discerning client. Anne has done a great job for us on each transaction. She is thorough, honest and dedicated to her client's goals.
From our initial meeting, she listened to my specific needs and price range. I received daily emails as she made excellent use of technology and real estate databases to steer me to right home. Each time we met, she had several great properties to show me, and never wasted my time showing me something that was not relevant to my search. After finding the perfect property for me, she helped guide me through whole home buying process, from contract to inspection to closing. And even followed up on loose ends after closing. There was nothing that escaped her attention. I always felt like I was the only client she had at the time. All phone calls, text, and emails were immediately answered. I wouldn’t dream of buying another property without her.
You were always insightful and candid and we felt we were working with someone straightforward and honest. Makes all the difference.”
We ran into several problems with the buyers and Ed worked tirelessly to solve the problems so the closing could take place. I would recommend Ed Mitchell to everyone. He is honest and works very hard.”
Pleasant / Charleston area without hitting a realtor so finding a realtor is easy to do. But what a home buyer needs is a realtor with ethics, drive, experience, and a genuine desire to make the client happy. Until I hired Jennifer, I didn’t think they existed. Jennifer Vail sets the standard that all realtors should follow. Jennifer helped find the perfect home for me and my children AND she negotiated a better deal than I thought was possible. No home purchase is without complications and mine had a few, but Jennifer made it seem easy! I was inspired by her work ethic and grateful for her dedication. Do yourself a favor and hire Jennifer Vail!
Our experience with the Sotheby's Realty office and with Ed Mitchell, in particular, was nothing short of extraordinary. Through Ed’s in-depth knowledge of the real estate market, his vast network of professional contacts with attorneys, bankers, insurance agents, and architects, and his strategic command of the negotiation process, we were able to develop and successfully offer a purchase price in a matter of a few short days that was both within budget and acceptable to seller. But the great Sotheby's Realty experience did not stop there—Ed continued to provide much needed advice throughout the process, offering seasoned counsel and up-to-the-minute information on developments and schedule changes leading up to the Closing. Using text messaging, email, and old-fashioned telephone, Ed’s diligence, persistence, and courteous professional demeanor help make the entire transaction, from our remote vantage point in Connecticut, appear seamless and easy. When we did visit before Closing, Ed arranged for us to meet with the developer/owner, the builder of several houses in the subdivision, the stone mason, an excellent architect, the soon-to-be new neighbors, and even topped it off with assisting us with a dinner reservation. Ed was also there to walk the property line and to point out the topography and history of the adjacent area, based on a knowledge that is only developed through vast experience and passion for the real estate profession. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire Sotheby's Realty experience and are indebted to Ed Mitchell for his professionalism, hard work, and expertise in getting the job done—and done extremely well.
From our first conversation you had my complete trust. I had no idea you would be so attentive and diligent! You really took care of me in an aggressive market. Your sincerity and experience completely reassured me through this process. I can't thank you enough!
I was referred to her from a friend and she did a wonderful job. She listens, provides great insight, is attentive, and responds very quickly- which is incredibly important in the process of buying a home, especially here in Charleston where the market is so fast paced!! She made the process easy (and actually fun). I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who wants an agent that really cares about putting you in the right home, not just about making money & trying to get you in something quickly. If I buy again, I will definitely be going with her. Thanks again Jen! I love my home!
I met Anne several months ago. As a real estate investor, when I meet a Realtor I always ask them to keep me in mind if they see something interesting. After 3 1/2 years in Charleston, Anne was the first realtor to actually follow up. She sent me information on a property which I put an offer on. While in my due diligence period, Anne was there every step of the way. She found different subcontractors, negotiated a better price, and researched different options for the property. While I did not ultimately make that purchase, I was so impressed with Anne I knew she would be my Charleston Realtor from then on. Please understand that my mother was a successful broker in San Francisco, my husband is a developer and I have a lot of Realtor friends so I have a very high standard. I recently decided to sell a duplex I renovated last year. Of course I listed it with Anne. She went above and beyond dealing with tenants, meeting with inspectors, coordinating the marketing materials, etc. Not only did I receive a good offer within a couple of weeks but Anne was able to get a strong back-up offer too. I could go on and on but I am out of town and writing on my phone.
